In support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 โ€“ Quality Education, the College Open House held on April 13, 2024, at North Valley College Foundation, Inc. (NVCFI) served as an interactive platform designed to provide incoming freshmen students from various institutions within and outside Kidapawan City with an authentic glimpse into college life. This in-house activity went beyond traditional orientations by immersing participants in real-life academic experiences that highlighted the institutionโ€™s commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and global readiness. By engaging directly with faculty members, student leaders, and current college students, participants gained meaningful insights into NVCFIโ€™s learning culture, values, and diverse academic programs.

The event underscored NVCFIโ€™s internationalization efforts by showcasing the distinct practices, skills, and innovations of each college programโ€”from simulated classroom activities and field demonstrations to student-led presentations and exhibits. These experiential learning opportunities allowed attendees to appreciate the global relevance and practical application of NVCFIโ€™s curricula, aligning with international academic standards that prepare students to be adaptive, competent, and socially responsible professionals. The Open House also encouraged collaboration and cross-cultural exchange among students from different schools, fostering an environment that values diversity and global-mindedness.

More than an orientation, the College Open House and Academic Showcase embodied NVCFIโ€™s vision of providing transformative education that connects theory to practice. By presenting hands-on demonstrations and real-world simulations, the institution demonstrated how its programs equip learners to address contemporary challenges both locally and internationally. Through this initiative, NVCFI reaffirmed its dedication to nurturing globally competent graduates who embody academic excellence, innovation, and service principles that lie at the core of SDG 4 and the broader global mission for sustainable, inclusive education.
