In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17): Partnerships for the Goals, the North Valley College Foundation, Inc. (NVCFI) continues to build and strengthen collaborations with industry partners, health institutions, and government agencies to enhance academic learning and community engagement. These partnerships affirm NVCFI’s commitment to providing quality education through experiential learning, knowledge sharing, and professional training that bridges the gap between theory and practice. By working hand-in-hand with partner organizations, NVCFI promotes a culture of cooperation and shared responsibility in shaping competent and service-oriented professionals.
The Bachelor of Science in Psychology Program has formalized its partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with JJ Valderama Behavioral Management Center and Gaisano Mall of Davao, providing students with vital exposure to both clinical and organizational settings. This initiative empowers students to apply psychological theories in real-world environments, from counseling and behavioral management to human resource and employee development. Through these collaborations, NVCFI strengthens the link between academic training and industry practice, ensuring that Psychology students develop both technical competence and professional empathy.
Similarly, the Social Work Department of NVCFI has established strong partnerships with social welfare agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region XII, and various Municipal and City Social Welfare and Development Offices across North Cotabato. These collaborations allow students to engage directly with communities, gaining hands-on experience in case management, social protection, and community development programs. The partnership reinforces the value of academic-government synergy, preparing Social Work students to become compassionate advocates for social justice and sustainable community empowerment.
In the field of health sciences, both the Medical Technology and Nursing programs of NVCFI have expanded their networks with numerous hospitals and medical centers across Mindanao. These partnerships provide students with opportunities for clinical exposure, laboratory training, and applied research ensuring alignment with global standards in healthcare education.
