The North Valley College Foundation, Inc. (NVCFI) continues to make its mark in international academic collaboration through the exemplary work of its Research and Publication Director, Dr. Rogelio P. Bayod. His active engagement with international scholars and institutions has led to several co-authored research articles and a major contribution to the textbook โEthics in Contemporary Philippine Society.โ
The book, now being used by numerous higher education institutions in Mindanao and the Visayas offering Ethics courses, features two significant chapters co-authored by Dr. Bayodโone on Peace and Conflict Studies, and another on Environmental Ethics. Both chapters highlight the importance of ethical reflection in addressing social and ecological challenges, grounded in the lived realities of local communities and global ethical discourses.
This collaboration underscores Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering academic linkages that transcend borders, promoting shared knowledge and mutual capacity building among educators and researchers. At the same time, it advances SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enriching classroom instruction with research-based, contextually relevant materials that equip students with critical thinking and moral reasoning skills. Through these initiatives, NVCFI reaffirms its commitment to advancing ethical education, sustainability, and peace through scholarship and partnership proving that when institutions collaborate beyond national boundaries, the result is knowledge that empowers communities and transforms societies.
