Dr. Rogelio Bayod was elected Vice President for Mindanao of the COMEPP

Dr. Rogelio Bayod, Quality Assurance and Research Director of North Valley College Foundation, Inc., was elected Vice President for Mindanao of the Council of Management Educators and Practitioners in the Philippines (COMEPP) during the COMEPP Mindanao Conference held on February 26, 2026 at Aces Polytechnic College. Dr. Bayod also served as the first technical speaker during the conference, where he delivered an inspiring talk titled “From Local Innovation to Global Markets: Strategic Management Practices that Enable Mindanao to Compete in the Global Economy.” His presentation highlighted the potential of Mindanao institutions and enterprises to assert their capacities in the global arena through strategic management, innovation, and academic–industry collaboration. Participants from various higher education institutions across Mindanao commended Dr. Bayod’s insights, noting that his talk challenged the long-standing narrative that innovation and intellectual leadership are centered only in major urban regions. Instead, he emphasized that Mindanao possesses a vibrant intellectual and entrepreneurial ecosystem capable of contributing significantly to national and global development. His election as Vice President of Council of Management Educators and Practitioners in the Philippines – Mindanao Chapter reflects the confidence of management educators and practitioners in his leadership and commitment to advancing management education, research, and collaboration in the region. Dr. Bayod’s new role is expected to strengthen networks among universities, researchers, and practitioners across Mindanao, further promoting innovation, research engagement, and academic excellence in management education.
