On September 30, 2024, North Valley College Foundation Inc. celebrated its 35th Foundation Day with an inspiring focus on Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3). The event brought together students, faculty, and staff in a vibrant celebration aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental wellness, and community spirit.
The day kicked off with a special reading of NVCโs history and achievements by SSC President Abdulmahdi Ibrahim, setting a tone of pride and unity. Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mylyn April S. Babol, RN, MAN, followed with an encouraging message that underscored the importance of holistic health for academic and personal success. The highlight of the celebration was the colorful Fun Run, a symbolic journey from NVC Gate 2 to the PAG-IBIG Fund Building that passed through vibrant color stations representing different departments. This activity not only energized participants but also underscored the collegeโs commitment to fostering active lifestyles among its community members.
The colorful powder and cheering spectators created an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie, reinforcing the vital role of physical activity in achieving good health. The festivities concluded with a lively Grand Zumba session and interactive games, with enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty. These activities emphasized mental well-being, stress relief, and social connectionโcore components of SDG 3.
