On September 24, 2026, Ms. Jirah Moseal B. Bardinas, RPh, LPT, Program Head of the Pharmacy Department, served as a resource speaker for the DOH Generics Awareness Month 2026. Held at the Midsayap Market Center in North Cotabato, the event celebrated the theme, “Kalusugan ng Bawat Pilipino, Generics ang Katuwang Mo.” During her presentation, Ms. Bardinas shared valuable insights on becoming a smart and responsible patient. She also discussed the importance of asking your pharmacist for guidance. She emphasized four critical pillars for patient empowerment: deeply knowing your medicines, actively participating in healthcare decision-making, being a good communicator, and being financially savvy. Her participation highlights our department’s ongoing commitment to community health education and promoting safe, effective medication practices. By advocating for informed choices, we can ensure the rational use of medicines and reinforce the value of high-quality, affordable generics for every Filipino family.
