NVCFI Medical Technology Students Plant Seeds of Sustainability in Partnership with CENROโ€“Kidapawan City

In celebration of National Medical Technology Week 2026, the North Valley College Foundation Inc. (NVCFI) Department of Medical Technology conducted a Tree Planting Activity on September 9, 2026, in partnership with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Kidapawan City.

The activity was participated in by Local Student Council (LSC) officers, faculty, and selected Medical Technology students, who came together to support environmental conservation and community involvement.

Through the initiative, students were given the opportunity to put service into action by participating in tree planting and learning the importance of protecting natural resources. The activity also emphasized the connection between environmental sustainability and community health.

The initiative contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15): Life on Land, which calls for the protection and restoration of terrestrial ecosystems and the sustainable management of forests and biodiversity.

More than a celebration of the Medical Technology profession, the activity reflected the departmentโ€™s commitment to developing future healthcare professionals who are socially responsible, environmentally conscious, and committed to community service.
