North Valley College Foundation, Inc. (NVCFI) continues to promote inclusive and accessible healthcare through initiatives that advance sexual health awareness, disease prevention, maternal health, and women’s empowerment among its students, personnel, and partner communities.

In partnership with the Provincial Health Office of Cotabato Province, NVCFI conducted an HIV and AIDS awareness seminar, complemented by free HIV testing and counseling services for students and faculty members. The initiative provided opportunities to strengthen awareness, encourage responsible health practices, and promote informed and stigma-free conversations about HIV and AIDS.

Meanwhile, Nursing students actively participated in promoting maternal healthcare and breast and cancer awareness through educational seminars designed to empower individuals with essential health knowledge and encourage preventive health practices. The Social Work Department also organized a Women’s Day celebration, recognizing women’s contributions, promoting gender awareness, and advocating for women’s dignity, rights, and empowerment.

These initiatives reflect NVCFI’s recognition that access to health information and preventive services is fundamental to human well-being. More than providing healthcare education, these activities allow students to translate classroom learning into meaningful service while developing professional competence, social responsibility, and compassion.

At NVCFI, promoting health means breaking stigma, empowering women, protecting lives, and ensuring that knowledge and healthcare services reach the people who need them most.
