Through its established community partnerships, North Valley College Foundation, Inc. (NVCFI) brings essential health and social services closer to underserved populations. Nursing students conduct health education and facilitate access to basic healthcare services, while Social Work and Psychology students provide counseling, psychosocial support, mental health awareness, and referrals to appropriate government agencies. In addition, the social work and psychology students who came from the poor families were tapped as youth development workers in the implementation of Tara Basa as parent tutors while at the same time gained allowance from DSWD.
Through these collaborative initiatives, NVCFI helps strengthen community awareness, improve access to essential services, and promote the health, well-being, and resilience of marginalized families and communities.
For NVCFI, education becomes meaningful when knowledge reaches those who need it most.
